Impact of administrative empowerment on the quality of health services: A field study in government hospitals in the city of Taiz

The study aimed to measure the impact of administrative empowerment on the quality of health services in government hospitals in the city of Taiz. The study population consisted of all employees of government hospitals in the city of Taiz, who numbered (862) male and female employees. A stratified random sample consisting of (264) individuals was selected from the original community, and (224) questionnaires were adopted for statistical analysis. To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive approach was used, and a number of statistical methods were used, such as arithmetic means, standard deviations, Pearson correlation coefficient, and simple and multiple linear regression coefficient.
The results of the study showed that the level of implementation of administrative empowerment in government hospitals in the city of Taiz was high, and that the level of quality of health services was also high.
There is a statistically significant effect of administrative empowerment with its combined dimensions on the quality of health services in the hospitals under study. The positive effect was for effective communication (β = 0.243), teamwork (β = 0.209), motivation (β = 0.165), training (β = 0.164), and power sharing (β = 0.098). While the dimension of trust has no effect.
The results of the study also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the response of the study sample members regarding the level of implementation of administrative empowerment in the hospitals under study according to the variables (gender, in favor of males), and (job position, in favor of administrators), and the presence of statistically significant differences in the study sample members’ response regarding the level of The quality of health services according to the job position variable and for the benefit of administrators
