Impact of occupational risk prevention procedures on employee performance through job satisfaction as a mediating variable: A field study on government hospitals in in the city of Taiz

The study aimed to investigate the impact of occupational risk prevention procedures on employee performance through job satisfaction as a mediating variable in government hospitals in the city of Taiz. The study population consisted of all employees in the hospitals under study, numbering (862) employees, and a stratified random sample was selected consisting of (236) employees, from which (200) questionnaires were adopted for statistical analysis. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach and the questionnaire were used. Furthermore, a number of statistical methods were used, such as arithmetic means, standard deviations, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling.
The study found a positive impact of occupational risks preservation procedures on the job satisfaction of employees in the hospitals under study, and there is a positive effect of job satisfaction on employee performance. It also found that the job satisfaction of employees in the hospitals under study has a completely mediating role in the relationship between occupational risks preservation procedures and employee performance.
