Abstract

     This research examines the Waqf in the Ayyubid era and its impact on the civilizational Renaissance.

Research objective: to show the status of the Waqf in the Ayyubid era and its fields, its connection with contemporary reality and its importance in social and civilizational development.

The research consists of a preface and three topics, dealt with the introduction of search terms, then the first topic was entitled: fruits of the endowment in the Ayyubid era, and the second topic titled: Types of waqfin, and the third topic: discussed areas of endowment in the Ayyubid era.

     The research concluded a series of conclusions and recommendations, as follows:

  • the spread of waqf in the Ayyubid era in many areas and aspects of social and civilizational life in general, which had a great impact in pushing the wheel of civilizational development in the reality and life of the Muslim at the time.
  • -the diversity of the different groups of society in the Waqf had its impact and significance in terms of the civilizational renaissance in the Ayyubid era, which requires attention to Waqf and its exploitation in scientific, social and civilizational activities in general at the present time.
  • the research reached the role of women and their prominent presence in the Waqf in the Ayyubid ERA through the Waqf that she facilitated in various areas of social, scientific and health life.
  • the multiplicity of cultural and humanitarian benefits of Waqf and its practical application in the Ayyubid era is a clear evidence of the great values of Islam and the universality of Islam and its comprehensiveness to all human beings.
