The role of Al-Saeed Public Library in the age of knowledge and its readiness to benefit from it from the point of view of the beneficiaries

The purpose of this study is to know users’ perception of Al-Saeed public library usage, its role in developing the information awareness of users, and their satisfaction with library information resources and services provided, and the difficulties they face. The study used the descriptive method, using the questionnaire as a tool to collect data from a sample of 50 users. The results showed that the research needs and general reading are among the most important reasons of using the library, and printed and electronic books are the most widely used. Results also revealed that the library's readiness has contributed significantly to raising the information awareness of users’ community, and they are satisfied with the services provided to them, and likewise with regard to training on the library usage they received.
