This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a multimedia-enhanced electronic mind mapping program in developing inferential thinking in Arabic grammar among second-year secondary school female students in Taiz City, Republic of Yemen. The study employed both the descriptive-analytical approach and a quasi-experimental design involving two groups (experimental and control) with pre-test and post-test measurements. The study sample consisted of 60 second-year secondary school female students from Al-Nahda Basic and Secondary School for Girls in Al-Qahirah District. The participants were selected through simple random sampling and assigned to two groups: an experimental group of 30 students who were taught using the multimedia-enhanced electronic mind mapping program, and a control group of 30 students who received instruction through the conventional teaching method. The study instrument consisted of an inferential thinking test designed to measure two subskills: inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning. The findings revealed statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean post-test scores of the experimental and control groups on the overall inferential thinking test as well as on each of its two subskills (inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning), in favor of the experimental group. Based on these findings, the study recommended integrating multimedia-enhanced electronic mind maps into Arabic grammar instruction at the secondary school level due to their demonstrated effectiveness in developing students' inferential thinking.
