into the general education curricula of the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, and to develop a proposed model for integrating peace education competencies into the curricula of member states, in accordance with the best global policies and practices in reference countries. The study used the descriptive analytical method, relying on a qualitative approach within the framework of the comparative documentary method. This was done through analyzing the content of national reports, relevant education documents, available studies on reference countries and member states, and the general report of the Arab Bureau of Education (ABEGS) on the progress made towards achieving the fourth goal of sustainable development goals related to education specifically the target (4, 7).
The results of the study showed that the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, with the exception of the Republic of Yemen, have worked on developing policies and guidelines to support peace education competencies in their reference education documents, albeit to varying degrees, it also became clear that most of these countries, with the exception of the Republic of Yemen, have worked to include peace education competencies in the curricula and textbooks to varying degrees. However, the documents did not show any systematic inclusion under a general education program for peace.
Some recommendations are introduced, mainly a model has been developed for integrating peace education competencies into the general education curricula of member states. A set of recommendations was also presented, the most important of which are: developing a peace education program based on the study's developmental model, to bridge the education gap between member states on issues of integrating peace education competencies into curricula.
