Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the role of strategic control in achieving the general objectives of Lahj University and to identify the differences in the average opinions of the sample members, which can be attributed to personal and professional variables (gender, academic qualification, job title, and years of experience). To achieve this objective, the researchers adopted a descriptive exploratory approach, given the nature of the study.

The study population and sample were defined as follows: The research population consisted of all principal and assistant faculty members across all colleges of Lahj University. The researchers distributed 98 questionnaires to a random sample of the population. For the purpose of collecting field data, the questionnaire was chosen as the most appropriate instrument. In light of the study's objectives and variables, the analysis of its data, excluding extended statistics, was conducted using the following: frequencies and their ratios, Cronbach's coefficient, arithmetic means, elastic deviations, and one-way ANOVA. The statistical analysis began with the following:

  • The role of strategic oversight in achieving the general objectives at Lahj University was at a low level.
  • There were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample members regarding the role of strategic control in achieving the general objectives of Lahj University, attributable to the gender variable.
  • There were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample members regarding the role of strategic control in achieving the general objectives of Lahj University, attributable to the academic qualification variable.
  • There were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample members regarding the role of strategic control in achieving the general objectives of Lahj University, attributable to the job title variable.
