Abstract

The study aims to determine the reality of information technology and the level of media professionals performance in government channels (Aden and Yemen satellite channels), and to know the impact of information technology on the media professionals performance in the channels under study. The study population consisted of all workers in the channels under study, who numbered (30) male and female employees. The study sample was selected using a comprehensive enumeration method. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach and a number of statistical methods were used, such as arithmetic means, standard deviations, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, correlation coefficient, and regression coefficient. The results showed that information technology in government channels (Aden and Yemen satellite channels) is practiced to a high degree, and the level of media professionals performance was very high. The results also showed that there was a statistically significant effect of information technology with its combined dimensions on the media professionals performance, and the positive effect was of management support, while the two dimensions of availability of material components and focus on human resource had no effect on the media professionals performance. Furthermore, the results show that an estimated 53.6% of the variance in total media professionals performance can be explained by information technology.
