Abstract

This study aimed at out looking the future of the Arab universities' system in the light of the 21^st century varaibles. Using a qualitative and descriptive approaches, (18) academic experts of different specializations were selected purposively from some Arab universities. Then, a questionnaire was constructed on the basis of the previous studies and literature review in addition to the consultation  committee's views composing of five specialists in the future studies. Then it was applied according to one of the future out looking techniques, namely Delphi scale. However, other appropriate statistical techniques such as frequencies, means, and percentages were additionally used. On the basis of the data analysis, the study revealed the following findings:  showing the variables of the 21^st century revealed a number of effective indicators on the universities' system; and there was a unanimity held by all academic experts around the future prospects of the Arab universities' system in the light of the 21^st century variables in regard to the total scores of the instrument and all areas, as well.The study concluded with stating a future vision for the Arab universities' system involving some expected alternatives for future prospects within ten coming years.
