Abstract

This objective of this study is clarifying th ‘aqeedah (unwavering beliefs) that all Prophet’s shared based on what was mentioned explicitly by our Prophet (may Allaah grant him commendation and protection). It includes eight broad topics pertaining to ‘aqeedah (Islaam’s unwavering beliefs) and tawheed (affirming Allaah’s uniqueness), as well as discussions of more specific matters such as the coming of ad-Dajjaal and the existence of al-Hawd (a large body of drinking water in the hereafter that belongs to our Prophet). The study was synthesised by way of a systematic review. The most prominent results of this study include establishing: that all Prophet’s shared the same ‘aqeedah, that they all adhered to Islaam as their religion, that followers of all religions (including Jews and Christians) should adhere to the religion that all Prophets adhered to, that the greatest fitnah (test and trial from Allaah) has not yet appeared, that it will inevitably appear in this Ummah, that it will be the coming of ad-Dajjaal, that a Muslim should follow the path of the Prophet (may Allaah grant him commendation and protection) to in order to be saved from that fitnah, that the coming of ad-Dajjaal has signs that are known to every Muslim, that every Prophet has one supplication will definitely be excepted, and that all of them expended their supplication during this worldly life except for our Prophet (may Allaah grant him commendation and protection) who saved his for the hereafter.

This study also clarified the things that are solely the possessions of Prophets both in this world and the next. These include receiving signs from Allaah, having a hawaaree (a specific outstandingly loyal follower) having an ameen (a specific outstandingly trustworthy follower), and having a hawd (pool of drinking water) for their followers in the hereafter. It concluded that all hadeeths condemning al-Qadariyyah are inauthentic except for the hadeeth that describes them as the Majians of this Ummah. There were also additional statements regarding matters relating to this topic pertaining to aqeedah that are ascribed to our Prophet (may Allaah grant him commendation and protection) but evidence for them is not authentic. The study lists all of this sort that could be found. There are other matters as well that all Prophets agree upon, but they do not pertain to ‘aqeedah. Rather, they fall under other areas of study, such as fiqh.

The study recommends expanding the scope of further research pertaining to this topic, including evidence from scriptures of prior religions, and translating this study into various languages so that followers of other religions can recognize that Islaam is the truth by which all people can attain salvation from Allaah’s punishment. It also advises groups that do not follow the path of truth to contemplate the aspects of ‘Aqeedah that are mentioned in this study, and ponder over why those commonalities were shared by all Prophets. It further counsels Muslims that follow the Sunnah to be grateful to Allaah for that blessing, because that is path that all Prophets followed
