This research deals with the human tendency and the justifications for its existence in the thought of Hassan Hanafi in particular, where the man tried with all his might to transform the topics of traditional theology from centering around God to centering around man, and his ultimate goal behind that is to make religion a revolutionary ideology, moving the masses according to requirements of reality and human interest.
The reality is that Hanafi’s attempt, or if you like to say his entire intellectual project, in which God disappears to be replaced by man, just as revelation disappears in it completely to be replaced by reason, just as the wisdom of the Sharia disappears in it to be replaced by reality and interest. This alone will restore man and restore religion in Hanafi's view.
The importance of this study lies in its attempt to break into the Hassan Hanafi project, and its attempt to uncover its most important pillars, this project that seeks to transform theology into an ideology, shift the focus of attention from God to man, and bring down religion from heaven to earth. There is no doubt that these aspects have a direct reflection On the doctrinal aspects of the life of a Muslim.
We have employed several approaches, including: inductive and critical whenever necessary. We believe that this study sheds revealing lights on Hassan Hanafi's intellectual project.
