Abstract

This study applies Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to identify the principal latent factors influencing Yemen's GDP over 2000–2020 using World Bank (WDI) data. Twenty macroeconomic, socioeconomic, and institutional indicators were analysed. Following Varimax rotation, three factors were extracted explaining 93.70% of total variance: (1) Macroeconomic Integration and Governance, (2) Financial Fragility and Economic Performance, and (3) Infrastructure and Human Capital. Data adequacy was confirmed by KMO = 0.533 and Bartlett's test χ²(190) = 1108.04 (p < 0.001). Findings offer actionable insights for policymakers and a methodological basis for Yemen's economic recovery programmes.
